Chandi along with many of his close friends such as journalist Madhukar Kher. Govindlal Vora freed himself of functional obligations to converse and dine with all his guests.

Seth enjoyed his company while attending the engagement ceremony of his son Rajeev Vora.
The former chief minister Dr. Raman Singh along with Brijmohan Agarwal and Amar Agarwal once cancelled his pre-scheduled meeting to attend the intimate family function of the grandson Vyom Vora at Gonvindlal Vora’s residence. Govindlal Vora and his elder brother Motilal Vora welcomed the guests and ensured great hospitality.
Being the esteemed journalist, Govindlal Vora had numerous connections and was aware of political ongoings of the state. He maintained healthy social and political relations. Even his wife Prakash Vora was equally active and supported his social engagements.
The passing away of Govindlal Vora last away was a loss to the society of journalism and left void in the lives of his family, friends and connections.
